Shuwari Foundation Trust empowers communities by creating safe spaces for wellness, cultural exchange and creative expression, while promoting sustainable farming to protect the environment, reduce poverty and uplift youth and families.

Our vision is to nurture coastal communities in Lamu through wellness, cultural exchange and sustainable living, strengthening relationships, enriching lives and fostering harmony between people and their environment.

1. Sustainable Fresh Water for All
Residents of Manda currently rely on costly and unreliable water sources from neighboring islands. With your support, we aim to establish a sustainable fresh water system that will expand farming opportunities, improve wellness, and strengthen our community food programs.
2. Farming and Food Security
Food security remains a priority. We plan to cultivate fruits and vegetables in our community garden and use donations to provide free, nutritious meals. Your contribution can help families gain reliable access to healthy food while promoting sustainable farming practices.
